Need help connecting SanMar supplier API to our custom order form
Category: Web Development
Budget: 850–850 USDC
Hi everyone. I run a custom embroidery and screen printing shop in Ohio. Right now we do a lot of high school sports jerseys, jackets, and corporate polos. When team coaches and booster clubs submit orders on our website, they select blank apparel styles that we source from our wholesale supplier, SanMar (and a few from AlphaBroder).
The headache is inventory levels change constantly. A track coach will place an order for 40 maroon hoodies, but the warehouse is completely out of stock, so my office manager has to spend half her day calling customers to offer substitutions. SanMar gave us access to their PromoStandards live API webhook service so we can pull their warehouse stock numbers and wholesale pricing directly into our checkout.
Our current site runs on a custom PHP setup that my brother-in-law put together in 2019. We hired someone last month to connect this, but he just tried setting up some Zapier zaps that crashed after 50 lookups because of data limits, and the java script didn't update the colors properly.
We need someone who can actually write the script to connect their REST API into our PHP product pages so it checks live stock whenever a customer clicks a size and color. Need this finished before March 18th because spring baseball uniform ordering starts that week and we can't keep refunding backordered apparel. Let me know your experience with this stuff.
