FreddyWorks — frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about pricing, payments, escrow, disputes, security and onboarding on the FreddyWorks crypto freelancing platform.

Getting started

How do I create an account on FreddyWorks?

Sign up with your email and a password. You'll receive a verification email — once confirmed, you can post projects or apply for work immediately. There is no mandatory identity verification.

Is identity verification (KYC) required?

No. FreddyWorks does not require KYC. Optional verification badges are available for users who want to boost profile trust.

What cryptocurrencies do you support?

FreddyWorks supports only USDC on the Polygon network. Never send other assets or use other networks — funds sent on the wrong network are permanently lost.

Do I need a crypto wallet?

You don't need a wallet to browse, post, apply or message. A personal USDC (Polygon) wallet is only needed to deposit into your in-platform balance or withdraw earnings.

Payments and escrow

How does the escrow system work?

FreddyWorks uses a custodial USDC escrow on Polygon, locked per milestone. Clients top up their in-platform balance, then fund each milestone individually. Escrow releases only on client approval, auto-approval after the review window, mutual cancellation, or a dispute decision.

What are the platform fees?

10% platform fee deducted from the freelancer's payout on each milestone release — freelancers receive 90%. Clients pay 0%. Refund processing fee: 3%. Dispute-loss fee: 5% on the losing side.

How quickly do I receive payments?

Instantly on release. The 90% credit lands in your in-platform USDC balance the moment a milestone is approved. Withdraw to your Polygon USDC wallet anytime above the minimum payout.

What happens if the client doesn't approve my work?

Auto-approval kicks in after 3 days of no client response. The client receives 24-hour warning notifications before it triggers.

Can I get refunds if there's a problem?

Yes. Cancellations carry a 3% refund processing fee. Losing a dispute costs a 5% dispute fee. Mutual cancellations carry no fee — escrow splits proportionally to delivered work.

Projects and work

What types of projects can I post?

Any legal digital freelance work: development, mobile, design, writing, marketing, translation, virtual assistance and more. Adult content and illegal activities are prohibited.

How do milestone-based projects work?

Every project is milestone-only. The total budget equals the sum of its milestones. Each milestone is funded, delivered and released independently.

Can I work with clients from any country?

Yes. Payments are borderless USDC on Polygon — no bank account required. Where crypto is legal, you can transact.

Security and safety

How secure are my funds in escrow?

Funds sit in a custodial USDC escrow on Polygon, segregated per milestone. Escrow can only move on approval, auto-approval, mutual cancellation, or a dispute decision. Admin actions are TOTP-gated with a tamper-evident audit log and a global kill-switch.

Is my personal information safe?

We collect the minimum data needed, encrypt all traffic in transit, and enforce strict row-level security. TOTP two-factor authentication is mandatory for admins and optional for users. We never sell your data.

Disputes and support

How do I open a dispute?

Either party can open a dispute within 7 days of milestone delivery. Admins (with AI assistance) issue a binding decision, typically within 5 business days. After an AI-assisted decision you have a 168-hour appeal window for human-only review.

What if both parties just want to cancel?

Mutual cancellation is available within a 48-hour proposal window. Escrow splits proportionally to delivered work (or refunds fully). No dispute is recorded on either profile.
