How FreddyWorks works
FreddyWorks is a borderless freelancing platform where every project is milestone-based and every payment settles in USDC on the Polygon network. Here is the full workflow from posting a project to releasing final payment.
For clients
- Post a project. Describe the work, set a budget range, and break it into milestones with due dates. No project is fixed-price — the total budget always equals the sum of its milestones.
- Receive proposals. Freelancers submit proposals with their bid, timeline and any counter-milestones. Message any applicant directly before deciding.
- Accept a proposal. Acceptance atomically creates a contract, syncs terms, and rejects competing proposals.
- Fund the milestone. Top up your in-platform USDC balance via ATLOS (Polygon), then fund the first milestone into escrow. Escrow is locked per milestone, not per project.
- Review and release. When the freelancer delivers, you have 3 days to approve, request a revision, or dispute. Approval releases the escrow instantly. No response within 3 days triggers auto-release.
For freelancers
- Browse projects and apply. Send one proposal per project with your bid and milestone breakdown.
- Start work once the client funds the milestone. Deadlines are measured from the funding moment, not from proposal acceptance.
- Submit delivery. Attach evidence and a delivery note (minimum 40 characters) — this starts the client's 3-day review clock.
- Get paid on release. On approval or auto-approval, 90% of the milestone lands in your in-platform USDC balance. Withdraw to any Polygon USDC wallet at any time above the minimum payout.
Disputes and appeals
Either party can file a dispute within 7 days of milestone delivery. Our administrators (with AI assistance) issue a binding decision. After an AI-assisted decision, there is a 168-hour (7 day) window to appeal for human-only review. The losing side pays a 5% dispute fee.
