Need a clean dashboard for vintage stereo repair queue and parts inventory
Category: Web Development
Budget: 800–800 USDC
Hi, I run a small vintage stereo and turntable repair workshop by myself. Right now my system is an absolute headache. I have customer receivers, tube amps, and tape decks sitting on shelves with index cards taped to them, while tracking the status in a messy Google Sheet with over 50 columns.
I tried setting up a dashboard myself in Looker Studio a couple months ago after watching YouTube tutorials, but all the formulas broke the second a repair job required multiple replacement capacitors from our parts bins. My nephew then started rebuilding it in Airtable for me, but he moved away for college and left it half-baked, so inventory doesn't deduct when a ticket is marked completed.
I just want a straightforward dashboard screen I can keep open on an iPad behind the counter. It needs to show jobs currently on the bench, units waiting on parts shipments, finished gear ready for customer pickup, and a basic count of our parts inventory.
My sister co-owns the building with me and is coming into town on July 14th for our mid-year review, and I really cannot show her this disaster spreadsheet again. I've never hired a freelancer before, so please bear with me. Happy to do a quick video call and point my phone camera at our workbench so you can see how we physically tag and fix stuff.
