We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to integrate a robust payment processing system into our existing custom-built e-commerce platform. The project requires the implementation of Stripe (for credit card processing) and PayPal Checkout. Key deliverables include a secure multi-step checkout flow, support for one-time purchases, and a subscription-based model with a 14-day free trial. You will be responsible for setting up secure webhooks to handle payment confirmations, failed transactions, and recurring billing cycles. Security is paramount; you must ensure PCI compliance by implementing Stripe Elements or similar hosted solutions to avoid sensitive data hitting our servers. The backend is built with Node.js/Express, and the frontend is React. We expect the integration to be fully tested in a sandbox environment before deployment. The estimated timeline for this project is 3 weeks, including a week of QA testing and bug fixes.
